Performance, Dialogue & Sound Editor
As a Performance, Dialogue & Sound Editor, you will oversee voice over recording sessions and ensure they meet studio-level sound requirements. You will collaborate closely with both our Voice & Talent Manager and voice over artists to capture performances at the highest level. Hereby, you will ensure audio quality through microphone/studio setup, mixing, mastering, and critical listening. Through this work you will play an essential role in developing and improving our AI voice models together with our tech team.
You’ll be responsible for
- Performing deep critical listening for both acting performance and audio quality
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting microphone and studio acoustics issues
- Setting up mixing and mastering processing chains
- Evaluating and improving voice models
- Establishing recording schedules with actors and ensuring all session meet sound and performance requirements
- Scouting, auditioning and onboarding new talent & liaising with existing talent
We’re looking for
- Experience in sound engineering, audio processing, and capturing live audio
- BA or higher in film, TV, audio production, multi media, or similar
- Credited work on film/TV, game, or audio productions as sound engineer
- Experience editing dialogue and/or acting performances
- Experienced listening skills for both acting performance and audio quality
- Deep familiarity with audio processing tools for mixing and mastering
- Ability to work independently and take initiative on suggesting improvements to workflow
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Great if you have these too
- Logistical and scheduling/production experience
- Experience working with or directing actors
- Background in performance/acting
- Interest in the gaming and/or the media/entertainment industries
